God Transforms Our Trials

Every person experiences both the generosity of God and the pain of a cursed world. The Bible tells us that creation, people, and even life itself are not as God originally intended.

In this sermon, Dr. Rocky Ramsey unpacks what God has promised and what He has not promised His people. God never guaranteed a problem-free life, but He did guarantee His presence, His protection, and His strength. He limits our trials, walks with us through them, and empowers us to endure them.

God transforms our trials. He takes what was meant for evil and uses it for good—forming Christlikeness in us. Like Joseph, like Job, like countless believers throughout Scripture, we discover that God is always working behind the scenes, even when life feels unfair or overwhelming.

Ultimately, every trial has a purpose: to prepare us for glory, to shape us into Christ’s image, and to remind us that one day God will rescue us from this broken world forever.

We know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren.
