Commitment Over Convenience
We live in a world that idolizes convenience — instant answers, quick fixes, and comfort at all costs. But Scripture paints a different picture of what God desires from His people. In this sermon, Youth Pastor Brennan Oaks unpacks what it means to live a life of true commitment rather than convenience.
God is a God of commitment. His promises are sure, and He calls us to reflect His faithfulness (Deuteronomy 7:9).
Convenience is a trap. A convenient "Christian" conforms to the world, seeks comfort, and walks the wide path (Romans 12:2, Matthew 7:13–14).
Commitment has a cost. Following Jesus requires sacrifice but leads to blessing, perseverance, and God’s glory (Luke 14:27, Galatians 6:9, Acts 20:24).
True discipleship means rejecting the pull of convenience and embracing the call of commitment.
