False Prophets | Part Two
The Bible repeatedly warns us about false prophets—leaders who twist God’s truth for personal gain. In this message, Dr. Rocky Ramsey continues exploring 2 Peter 2:1–3, highlighting five sobering realities:
False prophets serve themselves rather than Christ.
They use clever words to charm and deceive.
They undermine Lordship, obedience, and God’s judgment.
They damage God’s people and His Kingdom.
They will ultimately face God’s certain judgment.
This passage calls us to be discerning believers—grounded in the Word of God and committed to following the true Shepherd, Jesus Christ.
“But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves. Many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of the truth will be maligned; and in their greed they will exploit you with false words; their judgment from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.”
