The Word of God

Some view the Bible as a collection of moral stories, others as one religious option among many, and still others as a dusty old book with little relevance for modern life. But Scripture makes bold claims about itself—claims that, if true, demand our attention and obedience.

In this sermon, Dr. Rocky Ramsey explains that the Bible is not a good book—it’s a God-book. It is eternal, accurate, and inspired by God Himself. More than that, the Bible is life-giving and life-changing, showing us who God is, how to know Him, and how to live.

The Word of God is not meant merely to satisfy curiosity or give religious advice. Its purpose is to transform us into people who know, love, and obey God.

So we have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts. But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.
