How Do You Know You're Really Saved?
How can a person know that their faith is genuine?
In this second message on Biblical assurance, Dr. Rocky Ramsey teaches the evidence of salvation. While many people base their confidence on something they did years ago, the Bible consistently points believers to the ongoing work of God in their lives.
Jesus warned that many people who think they belong to Him will one day discover they never truly knew Him. Because of that sobering reality, Scripture calls believers to examine themselves and find assurance where God intends it to be found.
The message explains that genuine Christians recognize their inability to save themselves and place their complete trust in Jesus Christ alone. Salvation is a gift of grace, not a reward for good behavior.
But salvation also produces evidence. Christians grow in obedience, love God's people, remain connected to His family, and increasingly feel out of place in a world that does not share their values. The Holy Spirit confirms their relationship with God, and they possess a growing desire to know and obey God's will.
Ultimately, assurance is not rooted in a prayer, an experience, or a memory. It is found in a living relationship with Jesus Christ that produces a changed life.
