The Biblical Evidence of Salvation
One of the most important questions a person can ask is whether their faith is genuine.
In this message, Dr. Rocky Ramsey begins a two-part examination of the Biblical evidence of salvation. While many people find assurance in a past experience, prayer, or decision, Scripture repeatedly points believers toward present evidence of God's work in their lives.
The message begins with a sobering reminder from Jesus Himself: many people who believe they belong to Him may discover they never truly knew Him. According to Matthew 7, some of those people will have religious activity, ministry involvement, and sincere confidence in their standing before God.
Because of this, believers are instructed to examine themselves honestly.
Pastor Rocky explains that genuine Christians recognize their inability to solve their own sin problem and place their complete trust in Jesus Christ alone for forgiveness and reconciliation with God. Salvation is not earned through good works or religious effort but received through God's grace.
The message then turns to one of the clearest evidences of genuine faith: growing obedience. While Christians are not perfect, they increasingly desire to follow Christ, obey His commands, and submit their lives to His Lordship.
This first message lays the foundation for understanding Biblical assurance—not confidence based on something we once did, but confidence based on what God is presently doing in us.
