The Baptism of the Holy Spirit

What does it mean to be baptized in the Holy Spirit?

In this message, Dr. Rocky Ramsey teaches Jesus’ promise in Acts 1:5 that His followers would be baptized with the Holy Spirit. This promise was fulfilled as God began a new work in establishing the Church.

The message emphasizes that the Holy Spirit is not reserved for an elite group of Christians, nor is He something believers should expect to receive later as a separate spiritual event. Scripture teaches that every believer receives the Holy Spirit at the moment of salvation.

At the new birth, believers are indwelt by the Spirit, united to Christ, and made members of His body. To belong to Christ is to possess His Spirit.

The Holy Spirit does more than merely reside within believers. He actively changes lives, producing transformation and empowering growth.

Because of this, believers already have everything needed for spiritual life and godliness. Growth is not about obtaining something missing, but about living out what God has already placed within us.

The message concludes by emphasizing the believer’s identity in Christ. Through the Spirit, believers are secure, deeply loved, and strengthened by God.
