When the Bible Says "Heart"
When Scripture mentions the “heart,” it’s not always talking about the physical organ. In this sermon, Dr. Rocky Ramsey explains the various ways the Bible uses the word “heart”—as our character, our conscience, our spirit, and our inner self. These layers show how central the heart is to who we are and how we live.
We are born with a conscience, but sin has both collectively and personally damaged it. Our thoughts, desires, and even our self-perception can be deceived—but God sees our hearts clearly. Ultimately, who we are is revealed in how we live.
If we want to walk in truth, we must start by allowing God to transform our hearts.
