MISSION

We minister to children by providing a safe, fun and loving environment for them to come play, spend time with friends, learn more about God and build an academic foundation.

We focus on giving your child a first look at:

  • God's love for them

  • Healthy relationships with friends

  • Academics and readiness skills to prepare them for Kindergarten

First Look

“Very organized, Christian curriculum, knowledgeable teachers, and a safe environment.”

I love that my toddler loves it. He gets social interaction with kids his age, he’s learning new things, and he gets to make arts and crafts. I also love the smaller classes because it’s more hands on and personal.

CALENDAR

First Look meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30a.m. to 2:00p.m.  We will follow Knox Co Schools schedule for all holidays.  For inclement weather days, please check Brightwheel for updates.

The teachers are wonderful and my child has learned so much in such a short time.

daily routine

Each individual classroom will provide its parents with a class schedule. every class schedule will include free playtime indoors, academic and bible lessons, teacher led activities and special projects, lunch, snack time, and outdoor playtime.

The main thing that makes First Look great is the Biblical education and foundation that is built throughout the year. Each of the teachers display the love of Christ in their behavior and attitude towards the children and spend quality time teaching the Bible lessons for each week.

our curriculum

Our curriculum weaves basic skills into playful games and projects. As children participate, they naturally grow in all areas of development including social-emotional, physical, language and cognitive development.  We also integrate Bible curriculum into our daily routine.

Our 3 and 4-year-old classes also spend time learning Kindergarten readiness skills.

fees and registration

A registration fee of $50 will be expected at the time of registration to hold a spot for your child. This fee is non-refundable.

New enrolling students through age 3 will need a 2 inch rest time mat.  These can be purchased from the school for $35 or you may purchase them on your own.

Monthly fees are $155 for all classes except the infant class with is $205 and due the 1st meeting date of each month. Tuition can by paid by Brightwheel, check, or cash. All cash payments must be in an envelope with the child’s name on the outside of it. Any tuition not paid by the 2nd meeting date will incur a $30 late fee. Parent’s Day Out

“I am so thankful for the scripture that my girls have already learned and the Bible stories they are familiar with from attending First Look.”

absences

If your child is going to be out, please call and let us know. No price adjustments can be made for absences.

I love how invested the teachers are in the lives of the students. They truly care about each of the kids and are eager to watch them grow and learn as the year progresses.

arrival & departure

Each child will be signed in and out by the parent or guardian every day. Drop off time is 8:30am. Please do not bring children before 8:30am. Our staff will be preparing for the day and having prayer time. No one will be available to supervise children prior to class time.

Please be prompt in picking your child up at 2:00 p.m. Any child remaining after 2:10 will stay with the teacher until parents arrive and parents will be charged 1.00 per minute after 2:10 as our teachers are only being paid during operating hours. Picking your child up late is not fair to teachers or to your child as they may become anxious and worried since all their friends have gone for the day.

I love how each class is programmed to prepare the child for kindergarten. They work hard to teach each child the skills they will need both academically and socially to thrive in their schooling.

lunch & snack

Parents are responsible for providing a lunch and drink for their child each day. We are unable to heat meals.  Please send things that are easy for your child to eat on their own.  We also ask that you send a water bottle to use at snack time and recess.  We will provide a snack each day.
