There is so much at stake for the next generation and the Gospel...churches must adapt methods in order to faithfully share the unchanging message of Jesus.

Shaun Daley is the newest staff member at Corryton Church. He began his position as Youth Pastor in November 2016. Shaun will direct Corryton’s ministry to middle school, high school and college age adults. Shaun has been involved in ministry for some time, but did not grow up a Christian. His story shows the beauty of great community.

“I grew up with all that I needed…or so I thought. Growing up in an affluent area, I felt I had all that I needed as a young teenager. But then I became friends with some great Christian guys who lived a life that pointed to something and someone greater than themselves…which was Jesus. I began to get involved in a youth group and eventually had an encounter with Jesus that changed the course of my life forever.”

Shaun would go on to obtain a B.S. in Biblical Studies from Moody Bible Institute and a Master of Ministry degree from Anderson University. He has served in churches across the nation from California to South Carolina, and most recently Texas.

“I came to Corryton by God’s divine movement. God moved my family from Texas to a new ministry assignment that landed us in Corryton. We’re thrilled to be planted in such a great place.”

Shaun has been married to his wife Sarah Anne for nine years. Sarah Anne has taught in the public school system in addition to serving as a Preschool Director in church ministry. The Daley’s have two boys: Carter Welch who is six and Paxton who is almost a year old.

“There is so much at stake for the next generation and the Gospel. My experiences with this generation have shown me that churches must adapt methods in order to faithfully and consistently share the unchanging message of Jesus.”
