Blake serves as the Media Director here at Corryton Church. He began serving at Corryton in August of 2014 with the task to renovate and innovate Corryton’s Media Ministry. Media production began at an early age for Blake at a summer retreat in 2003. It was his first time being involved in any type of student ministry activity. One evening at the retreat’s worship service, Blake felt God speaking to him in a way he had never felt before. He says, “The camp was showing a video that was just powerful and awe inspiring, and I truly felt like God was just saying, ‘Blake, this is what I want you to do.’”
Blake took the calling that God had given him, and began a video production ministry. It began as simple funny videos to play on Wednesday nights at his church’s youth meetings. Years later it blossomed into a successful media production ministry. Blake produced videos for national and international touring artists like Kutless, Kevin Max, and Anthem Lights, and continues to work with artists to this day.
At a young age, Blake was diagnosed with Epilepsy, a neurological disorder that caused him to have seizures. "It was a very trying time for my family and I. Most people that have Epilepsy live their entire life with it – it’s near impossible to fix… but not for my God.” With much prayer and fasting, Blake was completely healed in two short years.
“I’m so excited to be serving at Corryton, to use Corryton’s Media Ministry to reach the lost, and minister to its members.”
Blake married his best friend Kate in May of 2015.
