i'm new

On Sunday mornings most of our adults attend Community Groups during the hour that they do not worship. Some worship at 9:00 and then attend a Community Group at 10:15. (This group includes our middle and high school students as well as our Singles.) Others attend Community Group at 9:00 and then go to worship at 10:15. (All of our Senior Adults are in 9:00 groups.) Adult groups meet and worship during both morning hours. Our Community Groups are designed for people to fellowship around the study of God’s Word: the Bible. Some groups have as few as ten attending and others may have as many as 30. Some groups are made up of couples and some are gender-specific. The leader of these groups is not a lecturer, but rather a facilitator. Our desire is for each person to have a chance to be a part of the learning experience. Those who attend read from one to as many as three chapters from the Bible during the week and consider questions about the text that they receive by email. The leader then guides the group through a discussion of those passages on Sunday morning. Like all teaching at Corryton, the emphasis is on making the Bible's timeless truth relevant to everyday life.

Reading cards that identify the lesson dates are available at the Welcome Center and at the Information Counter. Stop by the Welcome Center, the Information Counter, or the Get Connected station at the back of the worship area to find a group that is a good fit for you. Some of you will meet the best friend that you will ever have in one of our groups.

Preschool

The Preschool Ministry at Corryton Church is staffed by workers who love children and want you to worship without any distractions. We welcome Babies through Kindergarteners into safe and secure classrooms where they can move around, “wiggle”, talk, sing, and learn about Jesus. You will be issued a security card that ensures that only you can pick up your child at the end of the morning. You will also be assigned a number so that you can be notified during the service should your preschooler need you for any reason. Learn More

Children’s Ministry

Promiseland is just the spot for 1st through 5th graders. You are welcome to bring your child into worship, but he will miss a lot of learning and fun. Promiseland meets from 9:00 until 11:15 each Sunday morning. Nearly all of our children will be there for the “large group” experience at 9:00 and then the “small group” experience at 10:15. Even if you are just here for one of the morning sessions, your child will fit right in, make new friends, and learn about God’s love.

Student Ministry

Our middle and high school students attend the 9:00 worship and then go to The Warehouse for some additional worship and then grade-based, small group Bible studies. There they will have the opportunity to meet new friends and to learn how relevant faith, Jesus, and the Bible are to their lives. The Student Ministry at Corryton is made up of students from 30 different middle and high schools. Learn More

Community Groups

Adult Community Groups meet at both the 9:00 and the 10:15 hour. These Bible Study / Fellowship groups are essentially age-based and you have the option of attending a couples group or a gender-specific group. One or two chapters of the Bible is studied each week. Reading cards that identify the lesson dates are available at the Welcome Center and at the Information Counter. Stop by the Welcome Center, the Information Counter, or the Get Connected station at the back of the worship area to find a group that is a good fit for you.  Learn More

Worship

Corryton Church is designed to connect contemporary man to the eternal God. Most people who don’t attend church now did attend church at some point in their lives. Somewhere along the way, they likely were burned, bored, or both. Over half of our members were out of church when they came to Corryton. Unchurched people often claim that church music is boring and that the messages are irrelevant. At Corryton you’ll discover music that has a beat and messages that have a point.

Our pastor’s special gift is making eternal, Biblical truth relevant to contemporary man’s everyday life. The Bible speaks to all of the issues that concern us most. Jesus came to give us an abundant life; that life is found by living life God’s way. Every Sunday morning and Wednesday night you can learn practical truth that will work in your life every day of the week. Learn More

Meet Our Pastor

First time guests are invited to stop by the Guest Reception located at the back of the worship area following the Worship Service. There you will get to meet Rocky and also receive a special gift. You can also ask any questions that you might have about the service or the church. This brief greeting time is our way of saying, "We are glad you are here." Learn More
