get connected

Your Next Step

If you’ve been attending Worship here at Corryton, you may be wondering how you can get connected and become more involved in church life here. Your next step is to attend one of our Sunday morning Community Groups for Bible study, fellowship, and spiritual growth. Stop by the “Get Connected” area at the back of the worship space to find a group that might be just right for you. We offer groups for couples and singles; you can also choose a men’s or women’s group.

How To Become A Christian

You began as a dream in the heart of God. You were made to have a personal relationship with Him. Our heart’s long for a love that only God can give us; we were made to need Him. When we fail to know God as we should, some will try to fill up the emptiness that exists inside of them with people (dates, mates, children) or with things (houses, cars, money). When these things fail to fill up what is missing, many choose to “medicate” their pain with alcohol, drugs, food, pornography, and other means of escape. Your heart longs for God; nothing else will fill what He created in you to fill. Click here to see what the Bible says about how to become a Christian.

Membership Class

Corryton hosts a Membership Class on one Sunday evening in the months of February, April, June, August, October, and December. This class meets from 5:00-8:30 p.m. Those attending read a portion of the Membership Class syllabus before the meeting and then spend the in-class time with the Senior Pastor. During the class you will learn how to have a personal relationship with God and how to know for certain that you really know Him. You will also learn about Corryton’s history, purpose, values, style, and strategy. A meal is provided and childcare if necessary. Check the calendar for the next scheduled class.

Community Groups

Adult Community Groups meet at both the 9:00 and the 10:15 hour. These Bible Study / Fellowship groups are essentially age-based and you have the option of attending a couples group or a gender-specific group. One or two chapters of the Bible is studied each week. Reading cards that identify the lesson dates are available at the Welcome Center and at the Information Counter. Stop by the Welcome Center, the Information Counter, or the Get Connected station at the back of the worship area to find a group that is a good fit for you. Learn More
