children's ministry

Corryton Church Children’s Ministry is for children ages kindergarten through fifth grades. Our goal is to be a place where children love the Lord. Our desire is to assist parents in the difficult, but important job of laying a Biblical foundation in the lives of their children so they can come to know God and walk with Him on a daily basis. Year-round programs and activities are offered to children and their families to help develop a strong foundation.

Promiseland is the just the spot for Kindergarten through 5th graders. You are welcome to bring your child into worship, but he will miss a lot of learning and fun. Promiseland meets from 9:00 until 11:15 each Sunday morning. Nearly all of our children will be there for the “large group” experience at 9:00 and then the “small group” experience at 10:15. Even if you are just here for one of the morning sessions, your child will fit right in, make new friends, and learn about God’s love.

Hot Summer Nights
Wednesdays - 6:50-8:00 p.m.

Hot Summer Nights is a family-friendly, summer church service for older preschoolers to adults. A variety of activities, music, skits, teaching styles, and amazing games are part of this dynamic one hour, mid-week church service that occurs during June and July.

 

Fantastic Fridays

Fantastic Fridays is fun-filled, summer field trips offered to kindergarten through fifth graders and their family during one Friday in June and one Friday in July. Buses are used for transportation and adult leaders attend.

 

5th Grade Graduation

5th Grade Graduation is an excellent finale for our graduating fifth graders and their immediate families. A hearty lunch, memories video, graduation photos, and graduation gift create an enjoyable memory for all.

 

Promiseland Sundays
Sundays 9:00-11:15 a.m.

Promiseland Sundays is a fantastic Sunday program that begins at 9:00 a.m. and concludes at 11:15 a.m. each Sunday morning for kindergarten through fifth grade. Kindergarten through fifth grades follow the Willow Creek Promiseland curriculum while the fourth and fifth grade departments study the Old and New Testament books of the Bible. Large group and small group are available during this exciting Sunday morning program.

 

WOW Wednesdays
Wednesdays - 6:50-8:00 p.m.

WOW Wednesdays is a high energy, one hour mid-week program for kindergarten through fifth grade that incorporates two vacation bible school curriculums or teacher-written curriculums over the course of twenty plus weeks. Children rotate classes three times in one hour to Bible & Missions, Games & Snacks, and Music & Crafts during this January to May program.

 

Children's Choirs

Children's Choirs is offered from August to December on Wednesday nights for K-2nd graders and 3rd-5th graders to learn how to sing and worship. At the conclusion of the program in December, both children's choirs present engaging Christmas musicals for the church and community.
